I was loafing on twitter as usual and Interscope artist Yelawolf posted a link to a video for Big Krit's "Somedayz". The song and video are both dope as Krit goes in on Soul of Mischief's "93 til infinity". I've been a Krit fan since I heard him on the track "Glass House" off of Wiz's "Kush and Orange Juice" mixtape. At first Krit seemed like Pimp C reincarnated and I was anxious to hear what the Mississippi native had to bring to the table. Then "K.R.I.T. wuz here" dropped.
The album was definitely one of the better releases of the year and it showed that Krit was definitely more than the second coming of Pimp C. His Mississippi drawl mixed with lyrical content and dope beats, that he makes, provides music that you have no choice but to nod your head to. Def Jam must have heard the same thing I heard in dude because he inked a deal with the label and is currently listed on the Smokers' Club Tour with Curren$y and Smoke DZA.
